Occupational Summary
Provide administrative and accounting support to the Assistant Vice President and Deputy Treasurer in the administration and coordination of activities between Treasury and Cash Management and University administrative, academic, auxiliaries and service component departments on a broad range of complex financial banking, cash management and analytical issues.
Work Performed
Assist the Assistant Vice President and Deputy Treasurer in developing long range plans for Treasury and Cash Management areas; develop, implement and monitor interdepartmental short and long range plans.
Assist the Assistant Vice President and Deputy Treasurer in monitoring University operations on a monthly basis; investigate problems and resolve as appropriate, enlisting assistance from various divisional personnel as necessary.
Participate in cash forecasting and evaluating acceptable risk parameters for corporate cash management.
Provide back up support for divisional, seasonal peaks including, but not limited to budget periods, year end closing and calendar end reporting, and issuance of University debt.
Provide additional support to divisions as assigned based on workload, vacancies and special projects.
Monitor expenses to budget and intercompany balances in business application software.
Negotiate service level agreements with internal customers and external banking vendors.
Prepare reports and analyses, setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
Perform other related duties incidental to the job described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
Experience
Work generally requires the ability to apply complex accounting principles, analyze situations and resolve problems in the business services and treasury functions normally acquired through ten years of progressive accounting experience. A directly related Master's degree may be substituted on a 1:1 basis.
