Occupational Summary
The Managing Director will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategy and vision for furthering its position as a leading center for research and education.
Work Performed
Envision, plan for and implement key strategic initiatives and new ideas in collaboration with teams, the dean of Fuqua, and the advisory board.
Assure effective and efficient management, financial, information technology, communications, and administrative processes. Support the program staff in their work in ways that enable them to be effective and innovative.
Work closely with faculty director(s) and sr. research scholar(s) to build and support faculty relationships, advance a research agenda, and effectively bridge academia and practice.
Provide vision, inspiration, and strategic guidance through periods of transition that will require leading a small team through organizational change, maintaining existing reputation, quality, and operations while identifying opportunities for improvement, and possible rationalization, restructuring, and refocus, developing and executing a plan for sustainable funding, and building internal and external relationships necessary to pursue a bold vision.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
Work requires analytical communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program. MBA strongly preferred.
Experience
5 years of applicable experience in an educational setting.
