Occupational Summary
Manage activities in support of electronic commerce operations.
Work Performed
CREDIT CARD SUPPORT PROGRAM
Interact with department heads, managers, technical staff, and other constituents across DU and DUHS ensuring Duke's credit card merchants follow acceptable business practices with a focus on minimizing the risk of fraudulent incidents at Duke.
Identify and analyze the impact of activities on credit card rates and recommend modifications in procedures to minimize fees and to ensure optimal efficiency.
Manage and maintain accurate credit card merchant database.
Assist department with needs analysis for credit card operations, assist with application and initial training process.
Support and guide departments on protecting sensitive credit card data.
Provide guidance to merchants in the selection of appropriate credit card processing methods.
Assist as needed in installation, operation, maintenance of associated hardware and software.
Serve as expert regarding equipment offerings and installation.
Liaison with FHMS and merchant department. Review accounts to identify problems and irregularities, determine effect of errors and recommend solutions.
DUKEPAY
Serve as consultant to departments and collaborate with technical staff on e-commerce project needs.
Review work accomplished by the departments e-commerce team to ensure quality and compliance with University policies.
Assist merchants with final testing procedures and checklist for go-live preparation. Manage e-commerce merchant listserv data (Sympa).
Develop, schedule, and draft content for list distribution on monthly basis.
Coordinate/schedule E-Commerce Review Board meetings and assist with Agenda preparation; gathering information for all board members.
Represent E-Commerce Department and Director in meetings as required.
PAYMENT CARD INDUSTRY (PCI-DSS)
Manage the merchant audit process.
Analyze assessment forms to Determine compliance status.
Support merchants and their technical staff by providing specialized knowledge as related to PCI requirements.
Assist in the preparation of annual training class materials and presentations.
Participate in all or part of the training presentation.
Track merchant attendance and prepare related reports.
Prepare reports and analyses, setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions; develop, recommend and implement policies and procedures related to financial reporting, monitoring and analysis.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
Bachelor degree required in Business Administration or related field.
Experience
Minimum three to five (3-5) years of experience in a business, financial, or related field.
