Occupational Summary

Direct the development, coordination and implementation of marketing, recruiting, student services and operations activities for assigned executive MBA programs of the Fuqua School of Business (FSB) to ensure students receive a high quality educational experience.

Work Performed

Direct the design and implementation of the marketing strategies and plans for the executive MBA programs, working with other offices throughout the School as appropriate to ensure plans deliver the desired student profile and create the desired awareness, image and understanding of the programs in the broader corporate and academic communities.

Direct the collection and analysis of information regarding the executive MBA market; make programmatic recommendations as appropriate.

Ensure executive MBA programs are correctly positioned relative to each other, the daytime program and competitor programs.

With appropriate administrators, prepare faculty teams for programs; assist in identifying corporate and educational resources for programs; manage operational issues associated with on-site and/or on-line appearances.

Develop admissions standards, procedures and processes; establish interview standards and procedures and train interview staff; supervise the creation and implementation of support systems.

Design appropriate orientation and/or intervention programs to manage student expectations, develop a healthy learning environment, and assimilate students into productive learning teams.

Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with corporations that sponsor students to FSBs executive MBA program.

Interact with students or student representatives to identify areas of concern, discuss possible options, and address student concerns; maintain liaison between faculty and students, providing feedback about student concerns to faculty; identify and develop programs to enhance the total educational experience for students; investigate ways to build loyalty and dedication to Fuqua's educational mission.

Determine fiscal requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations.

Direct various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires knowledge of MBA design and delivery pedagogy as well as advanced communications and analytical abilities, generally obtained through an MBA, M.Ed. or related advanced degree.

Experience

Work requires experience in an MBA environment which includes marketing, recruiting, admissions, student personnel, counseling, and operations, generally acquired through eight years progressive experience.
