Occupational Summary

This management position develops Financial Training team strategies and operations plans to achieve results in support of education and training initiatives for Duke University and Health System. The director provides leadership to the training team and interfaces with senior leaders to align the team's initiatives with operating priorities.

Work Performed

Position translates Duke's mission, vision, and values into tangible business processes, organization wide change efforts, and business unit interventions.

Collaborates with senior management to plan and implement cultural supporting strategies of large scale change initiatives and/or rollouts, which are aligned with the long range Financial Services strategy for Duke.

Manages, leads, and develops employees in customer centric model, marshaling resources as necessary to support customer needs.

Designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates professional and management training curriculum.

Position maintains and enhances existing programs which include Certified Payroll Specialist Curriculum, Certified Procure to Pay Specialist Curriculum, and Certified Financial Manager Curriculum.

Designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates professional and management training curriculum.

Measures and communicates the impact of the training teams consulting efforts, both the impact of program deliverables and customer satisfaction.

Develops the appropriate evaluation strategy for the financial team training programs.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires a bachelor's degree in organizational development, business, or a related field.

Experience

Requires seven years of experience in training and curriculum development, change management, management consulting and or related fields. Three years of management experience preferred.

OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
