Occupational Summary

Plan, implement and coordinate activities related to specific development programs.

Work Performed

Plan and implement programs that are aligned with development strategies.

Coordinate personnel responsible for supporting development, annual giving, alumni affairs, and related programs.

Establish and maintain contact with alumni and donors.

Plan and implement appropriate activities; receive and respond to requests for information and assistance from alumni and donors; contact alumni to request assistance in matters pertaining to development; participate in the identification, recruitment and training of alumni committees.

Prepare development material to include writing and editing proposals, promotions materials and other material for publication such as training aides, newsletters, summary articles, etc.; maintain liaison with appropriate service components for production.

Maintain stewardship programs to include the writing of letters and the coordination special events.

Maintain liaison with other development staff, public relations personnel and other related areas to minimize duplication of efforts.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

Experience

Work requires one year of experience in fund raising, alumni affairs, public relations, student activities, program administration or a related field to become familiar with activities involved in planning special events or programs.
