Occupational Summary

Manage all aspects of video services for the athletics department.

Work Performed

Hire, produce and direct the production crew for in game entertainment.

Coordinate video production with scripts detailing in game promotional activities and presenting those activities in a way to best represent Duke University.

Shoot and edit video, and write copy, as needed for in game video board presentation.

Create graphics packages and post production work for in game video needs such as introduction videos, replay sponsorships, starting lineup headshots, countdown to kickoff/tip-offs and other features.

Improve video elements on the official web site of Duke Athletics.

Maintain a video library for Duke Athletics teams, and creating highlight packages for varsity athletic teams.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires knowledge of video production, as well as communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program in a related field.

Experience

Work requires a minimum of three years experience working video production with a college or professional sports team.

Skills

Demonstrated skills in video shooting, editing and production; an understanding of proper lighting techniques; a grasp of existing and emerging technology; the ability to engineer a video production room and equipment; a solid understanding of marketing and promotional theories and practices; outstanding communication and organizational skills; and expertise with video editing systems.
