Occupational Summary

Provide leadership and supervision for Supply Chain and Procurement Operations and Enterprise-wide Programs across the University and Health System.

Work Performed

Provide Human Resource leadership to Supply Chain organization inclusive of recruitment strategy, new hire orientation, performance management and communication/interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Serve as liaison with DUHS and DU Corporate HR for Supply Chain and Procurement employees.

Determine fiscal requirements for Procurement and Supply Chain budgets and financials develop and monitor budgets for Supply Chain and Procurement Services.

Lead the Supplier Diversity Program for Duke University and Duke University Health System.

Oversee offsite warehouse locations and personnel, including storage, PC Degaussing operations, and surplus property program

Supervise employees and oversee Equipment Planning and Procurement for equipment and furnishings for all new construction and renovation of Duke Facilities.

Prepare and monitor subcontracts for Sponsored Research funds.

Lead the Green Purchasing Program for Duke University and Duke University Health System.

Plans and conducts meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices, implement new policies, and keep employees abreast of current changes and standards related to the Procurement programs listed above.

Provide back up to and represent Vice President, Supply Chain, for Duke University and Duke University Health System at senior level meetings and city and statewide events that support supplier diversity and other community relationships.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Requires a bachelor's degree

Experience

Minimum of ten years in progressively responsible positions including supervision and program leadership.
