Occupational Summary
Exercise management responsibility over all functions relating to the University Libraries.
Work Performed
Direct establishment and implementation of business auxiliaries plans, programs and schedules for the University Libraries.
Provide administrative direction of staff management by applying specialized and technical knowledge in the implementation and execution of the planned programs for the University Libraries.
Determine fiscal requirements of department and review budgetary recommendations; monitor, verify and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds. Coordinate, through accountable management personnel, the establishment of major schedules, task assignments and allocation of manpower and equipment to ensure conformance with specified objectives and policies. Direct various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, merit recommendations, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
