Occupational Summary
Serve as liaison between the Corporate Controller and University Departments concerning a variety of financial, analytical, administrative and accounting systems issues.
Work Performed
Serve as liaison between the Corporate Controller and University Departments concerning a variety of financial, analytical, administrative and accounting systems issues.
Prepare various monthly analyses, including, but not limited to, investment income, endowment income, and manpower summary, setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and narratives for review by the Board of Trustees.
Prepare and monitor the operating budgets of assigned units; provide analyses and reports reflecting financial activities.
Coordinate the preparation and analysis of the University's published annual financial report.
Serve as liaison between the Corporate Controller and the external auditors during the annual examination of financial statements.
Coordinate the development of forecasts and revisions to costs of the Universitys fringe benefits; convert information collected into fringe benefit rates.
Coordinate the control and monitoring of the fiscal year end closing process.
Conduct annual survey of earned but unused vacation and discretionary holiday liability for monthly and biweekly employees; dollarize and distribute by fund code for inclusion in University published financial statements.
Prepare forecasts for assigned units, including investment income and endowment income.
Make work assignments; review the work of designated employees; assist in the training of new personnel.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
