Occupational Summary

The Associate Director of Market Intelligence is a member of a team of experienced professionals who engage in strategic marketing for The Fuqua School of Business. The position is responsible for managing the school's market intelligence strategy including external rankings, internal surveys, and all marketing analytics (including website, campaign, and social media). The Associate Director is also proactive in identifying issues connected to supporting data technology systems and business processes, taking lead on efforts across functions to address them successfully for all involved.

The position reports to the Associate Dean for Global Marketing, serves as a member of the Marketing Leadership team, and works closely with the school's senior leadership, Admissions counselors, and Regional Directors to develop strategic and performance insight.

Work Performed

Analyze incoming requests for participation and make recommendations to leadership.

Manage the integrity of all rankings management processes.

Supervise Analytics Coordinator on project management and data input.

Conduct first review and pre submission leadership reviews, modeling scenarios as needed.

Produce analyses of published results for leadership, make presentations of results and support incoming requests as needed.

Manage formal relationships with publishers including interpretations and expanded explanation of results, and manage schools input to publisher instrument revisions as needed.

Lead compliance processes with auditors. Design instruments, implement surveys, and run focus groups to support development of the schools marketing strategies.

Lead analysis, dissemination and discussion of results.

Manage budgets and access with external research vendors.

Monitor campaign data to ensure systems are assigning leads properly.

Reconcile Google Analytics and CRM reports with media vendor tracking, in concert with performance reports provided by vendors/outlets, to surface technical issues and work with Interactive team to address.

Synthesize and share information on lead quality and site analytics to optimize campaigns in real time.

Establish and manage lead analysis, checking relevant CRM reports against weekly lead reports from admissions to update pipeline metrics.

Manage standing check ins with Cross Continent, Global Executive and Weekend Executive MBA Admissions counselors to gather and synthesize feedback on lead quality.

Manage and optimize campaigns in process by communicating lead quality and reviewing cost per acquisition data with PPC vendors, reviewing keywords and advising on expansion strategies.

Develop insights and produce information for managerial decision making.

Lead standing website analyses with marketing staff to determine relevant insights from monthly results and disseminate to internal stakeholders.

Prepare campaign analysis and present results for standing check in meetings with Regional teams from Europe, East Asia, India, MENA, and Russia/CIS; Admissions/Marketing Leadership; EMBA Program Delivery Team; MMS Program Delivery Team; and Executive Education Sales/Marketing Team.

Produce end of fiscal year and interim ad hoc analyses and reporting to leadership.

Liaise with various technology teams to ensure systems are established and coded correctly.

Partner with Web Technologist to maintain integrity of campaigns data and evaluate new elements in the schools Google Analytics profiles.

Advocate for business needs on refinements to systems and processes.

Manage cross functional projects with IT Applications, Web Services, and Admissions/Marketing, advocating for business needs and taking lead on trafficking the list in process.

Manage updates to internal CRM report structures.

Establish consistency of data integrity and data availability across different functional areas.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Bachelor's in Business, Statistics, Finance, or similar quantitatively rigorous degree. MBA, Masters in Management, Master's in Statistics/Analytics preferred.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience applying analytics in a business environment in marketing, market research, or finance

Work experience in marketing services or higher education a plus

OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Technical skills

Expertise with Excel (advanced level) including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, charts and graphs; Microsoft Word; PowerPoint

Proficiency with Google Analytics, CRM systems, social media analytics and email distribution software packages
