Occupational Summary

Plan, coordinate and implement fund raising solicitation programs for the Annual Fund of the Fuqua School of Business to maintain a high level of financial support for Fuqua School programs and projects; identify, cultivate and solicit prospects including alumni, parents, friends and corporations in assigned geographic areas.

Work Performed

Plan and coordinate a variety of fund raising activities and programs to promote the concept of annual giving among alumni, parents and friends of the Fuqua School.

Establish goals and operating plans within approved budget and time frames.

Implement plans and conduct periodic evaluations of program results.

Identify, cultivate and solicit prospects, including alumni, parents, friends and corporations, in assigned geographic areas.

Establish and maintain contact with prospects to develop their interest and participation in Fuqua School fund raising projects and to coordinate related activities.

Manage activities related to Annual Fund prospects.

Plan, manage and conduct phonation program activities to include determining schedules, ordering and batching pledge cards, recruiting and training volunteers and supervising logistical arrangements.

Monitor progress toward phonation goal.

Recommend and implement program modifications as needed to achieve established goals.

Coordinate direct mail solicitation programs to include planning, implementation, tracking and evaluation; recommend and implement program modifications and new methods, procedures and initiatives as appropriate.

Plan and coordinate special fund raising activities as assigned, including, but not limited to, class agent program and graduating class gift program.

Supervise the accurate recording, reporting and acknowledgment of all gifts received by the Fuqua School to include production of donor lists for Annual Report and resolving annual fund gift reporting issues with the Office of Gift Records.

Develop and maintain prospect tracking system for the School.

Recommend various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals and vacation schedules.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

Experience

Work requires three years experience in alumni affairs, public relations, fund raising, sales and promotions, marketing, student activities or a related field in order to acquire skills necessary to administer, coordinate and/or participate in general fund raising activities and proposal development. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
