Occupational Summary

Provide leadership and direction for all campus housing assignments, and for all department marketing and related communications.

Work Performed

Develop, communicate, implement and manage policies and procedures, license agreements and other records required to deliver a housing assignment model that meets university objectives.

Direct the activities of HAC staff.

Hire, select, train and assess job performance of assigned staff.

Assist in the training of other RLHS staff regarding related policies and procedures.

Develop and publish information that clearly articulates related policies, procedures and campus housing information, including but not limited to handbooks, newsletters, notices, and the like.

Conduct information sessions with students and staff at the beginning of critical processes (e.g., annual reassignment process).

Maintain databases and related records management related to the housing assignment process.

Includes related web based housing management applications.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders in the housing assignment process; e.g., RLHS staff, athletic department, FOCUS Program, and Selective Living Groups.

Respond to related questions and concerns, including but not limited to inquiries from students and parents.

Serve as member of the Deans Staff.

Participate in RLHS strategic planning and on related committees as assigned.

Serve on university enrollment management committee.

Assure timely and accurate transactions to the Bursar in order to bill student accounts for rent and other charges.

Perform audits to assure accuracy.

Develop and manage RLHS web site in consultation with the Divisions ITS staff.

Perform other related duties as assigned or required to meet department, Division, and University goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires analytical, organizational and communication skills generally acquired though completion of a master's degree program.

Experience

5 years directly related work experience with demonstrated history of increasing responsibilities.
