Occupational Summary

This position is responsible for designing, implementing, conducting, and monitoring sports performance programs for assigned Duke teams and student athletes.

Work Performed

Write and implement sports performance programs for Duke student athletes and teams as assigned by the Director of Sports Performance.

Assist in scheduling team training activities and monitor the sports performance training facilities.

Draft and implement physical development, recovery, and mobility programs to enhance strength, speed, cardiovascular endurance and sport specific skills.

Assist with rehabilitation of sports related injuries to student athletes.

Manage one or more areas of administrative responsibility as assigned by the Director, in addition to training teams.

All duties must be performed in compliance with NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Health Sciences or related field.

Experience

Minimum of two years as a sports performance coach at the collegiate or professional level; Current NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC certification; Current CPR/First Aid Certification
