Occupational Summary

Perform a variety of administrative duties related to the internal affairs of the Office of the Chancellor Emeritus.

Work Performed

Perform a variety of administrative duties with latitude for exercising discretion and judgment.

Receive and answer correspondence both in the name of the incumbent and in the name of the Chancellor.

Arrange for and schedule appointments for the Chancellor; supervise the preparation of materials for meetings; coordinate appointments, meetings and speaking engagements for Chancellor.

Develop, Plan, Schedule and Coordinate the professional life of the Chancellor Emeritus Coordinating 24 hour daily schedules including travel plans, conferences and social events with VIP donors, and assisting in the scheduling of medical appointments for VIPS.

Handle confidential matters, transcription of speeches and papers; dictated or handwritten by the Chancellor, are completed accurately.

Plan or assist in planning of special projects or events as assigned; coordinate work with others involved in the project.

Order and maintain sufficient inventory of office supplies and equipment.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires a general educational background normally equivalent to a full high school education plus two years post secondary education in a business related field.

Experience

Work generally requires a minimum of three years of progressive clerical or project management experience to acquire strong skills in administrative, office management, and communication.
