Occupational Summary

Directs a variety of activities relating to the strategic initiatives for the Robertson Scholars Program.

Work Performed

Plan for and implement key strategic initiatives and new ideas in Collaboration with the board, the president, and the professional staff.

Design and lead the process to evaluate the core components of the Duke - UNC connection. Develop strategic alliances with complementary Programs and organizations.

Participate in and lead the faculty partners program, Robertson alumni Program, the Robertson collaboration fund, and the Robertson incubator

Design effective and efficient management, financial, information technology and administrative processes.

Support the professional staff in their work in ways that enable them to be effective and innovative.

Determine fiscal requirements and direct the preparation of budgetary recommendations. Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.

Design and implement an applied research program to address important specific questions concerning selection, entrepreneurial learning practices and the development of young leaders.

Direct various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, transfers, promotions and vacations schedules. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Bachelors degree required. Graduate degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum of Five years relevant experience. Previous experience with Financial, Personnel, IT, and administrative areas preferred.
