Occupational Summary

Manage staff and resources including space, equipment, supplies, services and budget needed to implement and maintain the School of Medicine Office of Curriculum Affairs. Oversee administrative assistance provided to the deans, course directors, and committees of the Duke University School of Medicine.

Work Performed

Manage and administer the overall operations to include effective management the budget and personnel, assuring compliance with relevant accreditation standards, laws, regulations, Duke policies and procedures, conducting relevant training, and any other related duties in support of the office's mission and goals.

Ensure appropriate workflow and coordination of administrative assistance is provided to Deans in Medical Education Office of Curriculum. This entails providing curriculum support to the Office of Curriculum Affairs employees, feedback, and recommending improvements, or taking corrective action.

Supervise administrative staff members in performing their job duties; evaluate department staffing needs and the performance, development, and changing job duties of staff members.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Master's degree in Business, Education or related field.

Experience

Five years of experience in an administrative and supervisory capacity to manage staff and resources, including space, equipment, supplies, services, and budget needed to implement and maintain the School of Medicine curriculum.
