Occupational Summary

Plan, direct and coordinate operation and activities of the Duke University Faculty Club.

Work Performed

Plan, direct and coordinate operation and activities of the Duke University Faculty Club including administration and programs.

Plan social events and conduct athletic training programs.

Schedule use of club facilities to include tennis courts, swimming pool and club house.

Direct maintenance operation to include upkeep of facilities and grounds. Maintain financial records related to club operation; monitor, verify and reconcile expenditures; prepare financial reports as required.

Plan and schedule work for Faculty Club staff, ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate manning, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties.

Assist in the formulation of policies; implement policies adopted by the Faculty Club Board. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

Experience

Work requires five years experience in administrative, business, recreational, athletic club or related setting to acquire skills necessary to plan, direct and coordinate social events, athletic training programs and the overall operation of an athletic club.
