Occupational Summary
This position oversees the orientation and new student programs for undergraduates as well as graduates and family programs.
Work Performed
Oversee matriculation, communication and transition programs for undergraduates.
Oversee parent and family programs. Provide guidance and support to the Parents Advisory Counsel.
Serve as Division liaison to Undergraduate Admissions for joint projects.
Collect data, prepare and distribute statistical reports regarding key programmatic areas; analyze trends.
Advise outward bound programs for students.
Recruit Hire, Train and Supervise staff.
Create, revise and oversee university policies, practices and procedures in key program areas orientation, parent and family programs, mediation and student leadership development.
Serve as the university's 'Dean on Call' in a 24-hour emergency on-call rotation; respond to crisis situations involving students.
Serve on departmental, divisional, and university committees; represent the department at campus presentations and national conferences. Design and implement databases appropriate for record-keeping; develop and maintain website information for key constituents.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
Work requires a Master's degree in higher education/student services, counseling, or related area required.
Experience
Master's Degree and 6+ years of related experience
