Occupational Summary

Serve as lead web designer for web design staff responsible for the design, creation, deployment and maintenance of web pages.

Work Performed

Serve as main client contact and interface regarding design issues; represent web design team in meetings with clients; provide input in determining project scope; define design parameters of the project.

Determine standards and style for design capabilities to ensure a high level of design and coding efficiency consistent with current standards and trends.

Serve as main interface to web programmers, instructional designers and project managers. Oversee design work of other web designers and coding of web production specialists; provide coaching and guidance to other designers and coders to insure top level design and efficient code that is consistent with the intentions of the designer and client. Collaborate with project manager on web team assignments, work flow and scheduling.

Produce web and multimedia design. Perform departmental personnel functions including, but not limited to, performance evaluations, hiring, rate recommendations, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires a BFA degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.

Experience

Work requires four years professional experience in deadline-oriented environment.
