Occupational Summary

As part of the team, plan coordinate and implement a variety of professional development programs and services designed to promote the career growth of staff while supporting the business needs of Duke. Focuses on performance improvement initiatives to achieve business goals for individuals or groups of Duke employees.

Work Performed

Conduct focus groups, interviews and survey assessments to determine performance gaps and requirements; assess work environment's readiness to support specific training or development needed to address issues.

Coordinate, design and facilitate structured learning experiences including curriculm development and management of event logistics.

Train trainers such as line managers and outside consultants who may facilitate a program for Duke clients to ensure quality and consistency of learning experiences

Complete projects independently or collaboratively as assigned; participate and contribute as a team member of cross-functional interventions; present deliverables to senior team member; deliver project tasks such as needs assessment and short/long term evaluations.

Coach employees on subjects such as career, leadership, and performance development plans; assist employees during implementation of change management initiatives;

Track, monitor and evaluate career and leadership development plans; assist senior professionals in project evaluation methodology by conducting evaluations for performance related initiatives.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Bachelors degree in Business or related field required. Masters degree preferred.

Experience

4 to 7 years of experience in increasingly responsible positions of Human Resources, training, and/or management consulting.
