Occupational Summary

Assists with the execution and identification of regional major gift strategies and supports major gift fundraising efforts by serving assigned regions.

Work Performed

Serves as regional major gifts director for assigned region to identify, cultivate and solicit a top tier of prospects for major gifts campaigns.

Leads the Major Gifts team in the identification of new regional major gift initiatives; articulating long term prospect cultivation and regional stewardship goals.

Develops strategies for Major Gift volunteer development and associated activities. Oversees the production of the annual operating plan for Major Gift Office operations.

Develops periodic reports on progress toward annual development goals for the office.

Communicates administrative, logistical and operational opportunities of the regional major gifts program to leadership.

Represents Major Gifts team in prospect management meetings; facilitates information exchange and prospect strategy sessions.

Oversees the regional campaign council within Development to develop a plan for reporting on fundraising activities and programs. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires a Bachelor's degree.

Experience

Work requires a minimum of 7 years experience in fundraising and development.
