Occupational Summary

Supervise, coordinate and participate in departmental planning and development activities to ensure smooth and successful delivery of programs.

Work Performed

May participate in planning sessions with administration and faculty; advise on details relating to operations.

Maintain liaison with corporate clients regarding departmental planning, development and implementation; establish appropriate time frames and deadlines for materials and related details.

Coordinate delivery of needs with faculty to ensure the securing of necessary equipment and material, developing daily calendar and coordinating time schedules. Manage details to ensure smooth delivery including, but not limited to, determining, securing and coordinating conference and meeting rooms, dining/break areas and other space requirements, and planning and coordinating accommodations, travel arrangements, some meals and appropriate transportation.

Supervise and coordinate correspondence to clients regarding reservations, applications and program details; respond to special or emergency needs of participants prior to, as well as during, the program.

Supervise and coordinate preparation of materials for various functions, but not limited to, inventorying, ordering and securing of instructional materials, textbooks, business cases, articles and other miscellaneous supplies, coordinating assembly of notebooks of coursework and materials, and monitoring and storing surplus supplies.

Investigate methods for improving delivery that may include developing a procedures manual and mechanizing operations. Compile and prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.

Supervise, orient and train assigned employees. Recommend various personnel actions, including, but not limited to, hiring, orientation, promotions, performance appraisals, transfers, disciplinary actions and vacation schedules.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree program.

Experience

Work requires three years of relevant experience.
