Occupational Summary

Direct the daily operations of the professional masters programs offered by the Pratt School of Engineering. Develop and implement strategic plans to increase program enrollment and coordinate program activities associated with it.

Work Performed

In cooperation with the Master of Engineering Management Program Director manage the staff, budget and other financial matters of the program.

Develop strategic plans to grow the program enrollment and direct the implementation of those plans.

Review program curriculum and develop and implement plans to maintain curriculum relevancy.

Develop and nurture strategic relationships with corporations who hire program graduates.

Develop and implement national advertising strategy to increase applicant pool. Coordinate student applications and admission process.

Establish pipeline for recruiting prospective students.

Evaluate Pratt School of Engineering operations and develop strategy to improve operating efficiency.

Ascertain viability of applying continuous improvement principles to research proposal writing processes to enhance proposal success. Assist Pratt School of Engineering Dean in developing "customer-oriented" culture in school administrative staff.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires a Ph.D. in an Engineering Discipline plus advanced training in a total quality management system.

Experience

Work requires 12 years or more of industrial experience in technology-based companies plus 8 or more years of technology management experience. Experience with Engineering Management education desired.
