Lead a diverse, complex educational and research organization, founded to provide leadership in education, research and the responsible use of natural resources in the tropics.
Lead organization toward vision set by Board of Directors and manager OTS resources effectively to achieve its strategic goals.
Develop multi-year, long-range planning document as the basis for strategic decisions by the Board of Directors as well as the base for setting budget priorities.
Prepare annual budgets, including the endorsement and approval process by the Board of Directors or its designee.
Perform annual written and oral performance evaluations of all staff supervised directly by CEO.
Prepare and submit timely written and oral reports to the Board of Directors and any other constituencies of the organization. Report all information needed by the Board of Directors to carry out its duties.
Recommend to the Board of Directors any major change in policy that may affect the organization.
Work closely and effectively with the President to provide executive leadership for the organization.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level
MBA, Ph.D, D.Ed
10 years relevant professional experience, preferably in the non-profit sector; 5 years of international experience, preferably in Latin America.
Fluency in Spanish.
OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
