Work Performed
Serve as senior compliance auditor and director of operations for central financial aid.
Coordinate the aspects of technical aid delivery, operational calendars, and compliance activities across schools.
Make recommendations for improvements in efficiency and risk mitigation based on consistent practices and leveraging universal Duke systems Supervise staff, including.
Compliance auditor for graduate/professional aid and central aid officer Data manager who supports application loads across the university Administrative manager/associate director.
Train staff on compliance and financial aid systems in conjunction with the central compliance officer.
Serve as the primary working contact for federal and state audits in conjunction with the Associate Vice Provost and other compliance staff Support federal login and access for staff.
Collect and maintain signature pages from staff.
Serve as a secondary DPA for SAIG and provide annual validations Provide and monitor access to federal and organizational sites for staff Oversee the operational aspects of student aid delivery.
Ensure systems are leveraged to monitor and audit student awards Collaborate with analysts and developers in the Student Services and Information Systems (SISS) office to ensure packaging, checklists, and all PeopleSoft processes are accurate and delivered by established deadlines.
Create and oversee the operational calendar and monitor project and tasks processes.
Host regular operational meetings with leadership and stakeholders Oversee staff responsible for the delivery of ROTC and veteran???s education benefits.
Create/innovate processes to enhance awarding accuracy and efficiency in delivery.
Run and prepare regular reports on system operations activities for the Associate Vice Provost.
Ensure Duke complies with Title IV regulations as well as institutional methodology principles in coordination with key campus partners and the Associate Vice Provost.
Develop and maintain undergraduate federal and institutional policies and procedures.
Lead annual audit processes.
Represent the aid program both on campus and to the public as well act on behalf of the AVP when necessary.
Provide system testing services for PeopleSoft upgrades and formula changes.
Lead the operational management team.
Partner with aid office leaders to ensure student-facing programs and outreach align with policy and processes.
Other duties as assigned.
