Faculty Orientation Sign-Up

Faculty Orientation – Duke Benefits Overview has moved to the Learning Management System (LMS). Registration must occur in the LMS. This step will require new hires to have an active Duke NetID, which is also required to enroll in your health benefits via Duke@Work.

Faculty new hires should attend this Benefits Overview within their first 30 days of employment to ensure they enroll in health benefits within their 30 day enrollment window. The Duke Benefits Overview will also provide time-sensitive information regarding service waivers for the Duke LTD program and 403(b) Faculty & Staff Retirement Plan.

Don't miss important benefit deadlines. Register for the Faculty Orientation now:

• Log into Duke@Work
  • Navigate to My Info/My Career/Access Training in Duke's Learning Management System (LMS)
  • In Search Box, enter the Course Title or Offering ID:
    • Course Title: Faculty Orientation: Duke Benefits Overview
    • Offering ID: 00189956

  • Click on the Course Name link, then click on Begin Registration
  • Under Add, click Register
  • Launch the presentation Faculty Orientation: Duke Benefits Overview
  • Once the presentation is open, click on the “Handouts” icon to review the Benefits Decision Guide or use this link: Duke Benefits Decision Guide by Working Duke

We ask that you still register and complete the Faculty Orientation- Duke Benefits Overview via Duke@Work- LMS once you have been hired and assigned your Duke NetID so that we have a record of you completing this important benefit orientation/training.

Important: New hires are responsible for viewing the Benefit Overview presentation to learn about Duke's benefit program AND enrolling in health benefits within 30 days of their hire date or benefit eligibility date and if applicable, providing service waivers by established deadlines.
