Bio:
Tarun Saxena works as a Pilot Program Leader in the Duke Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) Accelerator group. Since joining the CTSI in January 2018, Tarun has enjoyed wearing two hats: project leader with CTSI Accelerator and Program Leader of the Pilot programs. In his role, Tarun works with principal investigators (PI), helps set up study sections, ensures that project applications (Request for Applications) are in place, and reviews their research plans for adherence to rules or stipulations put forward by grant awards. Prior to that, Tarun was an assistant research professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Duke. Tarun completed his PhD and master's degrees at Syracuse University and his undergraduate studies in biomedical engineering at Osmania University, India. Tarun enjoys being active, playing and watching cricket and tennis, hiking, reading books, and enjoying good food and drinks.
