Bio:
Halley House is the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Duke Law, she serves as the primary fundraising
liaison for the Law School's clinics, centers, and faculty research, focusing on individual, foundation,
and corporate giving opportunities. She also leads other strategic fundraising initiatives, including
working with the Law School's Board of Visitors to enhance its positive impact on the Law School. In her
Regional Director capacity, Halley travels to the DC and Chicago areas to meet with alumni and donors to
the Law School and cultivate philanthropic engagement. Prior to her current role, she served as Regional
Director of Development at Duke Law (2016-2018), Assistant Director of Annual Giving for Reunions at Duke
Law (2013-2016), and Assistant Director for Donor Relations at Duke Health (2010-2013). Before Duke, she
worked in the development office at the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, which owns and operates Monticello,
the historic home of Thomas Jefferson. She has a B.A. with distinction from the University of Virginia.
In her free time, she serves as a volunteer and board member with several nonprofits in the Durham
community.
She also enjoys running, watching college sports, and planning her and her husband's next vacation.
