Bio:
Sharon White is Director of Leadership Annual Giving for Duke Health Development and Alumni Affairs. She
is responsible for developing and managing an integrated strategy for increasing annual gifts at the
$1,000 - $24,999 level. Sharon has over 22 years of visible achievements in the development profession.
Sharon joined DHDAA in 2016 after a 16-year post in the Central Annual Fund at Duke University where she
served as Director of the Phon-a-thon Program, Assistant Director of Student Education and Lasting Legacy,
and Assistant Director of the Young Alumni Program.
Oh, did we mention that Sharon was born at Duke? Why does that matter? Well, it means that she has an
unwavering loyalty to Duke. Go Duke!
She received her B.S. degree in Business Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan College, Rocky Mount,
NC, and two master's degrees - Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Leadership from
Pfeiffer University, Misenheimer, NC.
When not working, Sharon can be found spending time with her 15-year-old daughter, Cameron and bribing her
snobby Chiweenie Rascal with treats in exchange for snuggles.
