Barbara is an innovative leader, passionate about using design strategy and user experience methodologies to develop solutions that meet both customer and business needs.

She currently manages the Creative, User Experience, and Accessibility (CrUX) practice, a user-centered design and accessibility team at Duke. CrUX elevates the end-user experience of Duke's digital products by integrating UX research, user-centered design, and accessibility into each solution.

With over 20 years design experience, she thrives on building community through creative collaboration, and leading teams and projects with clear strategic direction and empathy. An avid playlist curator, she's a lover of honeybees, documentary photography, and house plants.
