Bio:
Heather Mountz joined Duke University School of Nursing (DUSON) in 2017 as the Senior Manager of the DUSON
Community Health Improvement Partnership Program (D-CHIPP). She has over 23 years of experience in public
health, and in 2018 earned her Master of Public Health degree from Gillings School of Public Health at UNC-
CH. In her role as manager of D-CHIPP, Heather works with faculty, staff, and community partners on several
initiatives related to research, nursing education, clinical experiences, and programs aimed at improving
community and public health. She is also a co-chair of the DUSON Staff and Workplace Advocacy Council, that
provides bi-monthly staff meeting presentations, activities outside of work, retreats, and celebrations.
