Bio:
Melissa Williams started her Duke career as a bedside nurse at Duke University Hospital on the cardiothoracic surgery step-down unit and intensive care unit. She then worked for several years with the heart transplant team as a nurse coordinator. While obtaining a master's degree in healthcare administration, she worked with the abdominal transplant teams as a quality and performance improvement coordinator. She currently manages a small team in the Heart Center, overseeing clinical registries and quality for the Heart Center. She recently obtained certification as a professional in healthcare quality.

Melissa enjoys reading, baking, music, and being a Durham resident. In the fall she can be found with her husband and daughter at the Duke football games.
