Bio:
Domonique Redmond is the Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives and Planning for the Duke Office of
Durham and Community Affairs (DCA). She is responsible for implementing strategic initiatives and
measuring progress while leading efforts to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. She
received her Master's in Public Administration (MPA) from North Carolina Central University and is a
proud alum of The University of Tennessee - Knoxville, where she graduated with a Political Science
degree. Domonique started her Duke journey with the Community Service Center under Student Affairs, later
serving as program director for the DukeEngage-Durham program until the CSC integrated into the DCA
Office of Civic Engagement in 2019. Before joining the Associate VP for Strategy and Communications/Chief
of Staff team, Domonique managed the Doing Good employee giving campaign as part of her responsibilities
with DCA Office of Research and Advancement.
Though Durham has been home for over 26 years, Domonique is still a true Virginia girl, hailing from
Roanoke, VA. She has a passion for volunteering and engaging with community. Family is everything to her.
When able, she also loves to travel and experience new cultures and foods.
