Bio:
Thom Quintas has been the Director of Theater for the Department of Theater Studies since January of 2020. Thom leads all Mainstage productions, guest artist residencies, New Works Labs productions and Artist in Residence productions. In addition, he also teaches classes for undergrads in Stage Management and Production Management.

Prior to Duke, Thom was the Production Manager and Head of the Stage Management program at Indiana University Department of Theater Drama and Contemporary Dance where he leads the department through 15 productions each year.

Over his 25 years of experience in the Entertainment Industry, he has spent some time in Los Angeles as an Event Coordinator for a special events company working for companies such as Disney, Universal, Sony, Panasonic. He's managed events at trade shows such as Comic Con, Penny Arcade, E3, and CES.

One of his early and proudest accomplishments is he and some fellow artists founded a professional Theater Company in St. Louis and was a Lead Performer and the Production Manager of that company for 5 years.

Thom holds a BFA in Theater Performance from Millikin University and an MFA in Production Management from CalArts.
