Bio:
Rosa Johnson joined Duke in 2017 as Staff Assistant in the Department of Pathology and is now currently serving as the HR Director for the School of Medicine HR Service Center. Over the years, she has progressed through various roles, transitioning to HR Specialist, HR Representative, and HR Manager before assuming the role of HR Director. In this capacity, she leads a team of 15 team members, including three direct managers, and is responsible for Payroll and FMLA HR support for departments in the School of Medicine. She has been instrumental in the growth and development of the HR Service Center, driving team building and operational efficiency. Most notably, she led the team through a significant transition following a merger of HR support for the Basic Science units within the School of Medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two kids and their husky, Bear.
