Bio:
Ted Snyderman, MSW, LCSW, is a seasoned clinical research professional with extensive experience in project
management, quality assurance, and clinical trials. A Durham native, Ted currently serves as a Research
Program Leader, Sr. with the Duke Office of Clinical Research (DOCR), overseeing multiple research projects,
supervising colleagues, managing external relationships, and providing leadership in clinical research
technological innovations. He began his post-collegiate career in the Department of Psychiatry at Duke back
in the 1990s, then obtained a Masters in Clinical Social Work and worked in Community Mental Health roles in
the San Francisco Bay Area. Ted eventually moved back home to North Carolina for jobs with PAREXEL
International and NeuroCog Trials, where he honed his skills in clinical monitoring, data review, and test
development. Finally, he returned to Duke in 2015 in a supervisory position at DOCR, incorporating his
social work perspective as well as expertise in developing training protocols, managing study documentation,
and ensuring compliance with FDA standards. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Duke University and a
Clinical M.S.W. from Smith College.
