Bio:
Tiffany McCants is a Registered Respiratory Therapy who attended The Medical College of Georgia in
Augusta, Ga where she received her Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy. She has 19 years of acute
and critical care clinical respiratory experience. For the past nine years she has served as Charge RT
and Clinical Team Lead at Duke University, Duke Regional, and Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Health
Hospitals.
Unlike majority of respiratory therapist, Tiffany has a long and current history of caring for the
neonates, pediatrics, adult, and geriatric critical care populations. She has certifications to include
basic, advanced cardiac, pediatric, and neonatal life supports. She serves as a research participants in
2 ongoing studies, Surfactant in the adult COVID 19 and Inhaled anesthetic via mechanical ventilator.
As a manager of a diverse respiratory care team, Tiffany engages members to advance development of
critical care practices, implementing practice and process changes to improve work culture, and promotes
interdisciplinary interaction. Tiffany is passionate about the field of respiratory care due to her
history of childhood asthma, she knew when the respiratory therapist arrived she would feel better.
