With over 13 years of experience in Administrative positions and a track record of strong performance in
high-pressure, high-volume environments, Tawana skillfully and efficiently manages the Administrative
office and staff, delivers provider support, and assists with HR relations for the department of Speech
Pathology and Audiology at Duke. As an Administrative Coordinator, she manages a team of four
Administrative professionals whose primary goal is the success of the department.
Tawana ensures the smooth operation of the Administrative office with her impeccable organizational
skills, excellent interpersonal relationships, robust problem solving skills and analytical skills. With
experience in Duke HR and Payroll systems, Duke@work, SAP, MaestroCare and API, Tawana brings a wealth of
knowledge and support for both Speech Pathologists and Audiologists. She has also completed courses such
as Guide to Managing at Duke, the Front Line Supervisor Program and Keys to Supervisory Success to aid in
her support for the department and her direct reports.
When she's not tackling the day to day Office operations for Speech Pathology and Audiology or meeting
with her team to discuss how to improve processes, Tawana is connecting homebuyers with their dream
homes.
As a part time REALTOR, she is dedicated to understanding her clients wants and needs and working
diligently to meet those goals during the home buying process.
