Bio:
Elizabeth Nixon is an assistant manager for outpatient rehabilitation services coordinating daily clinic
operations for multiple outpatient clinics across the central Durham area. She is also a licensed physical
therapist specializing in neurologic rehabilitation. Elizabeth develops team environments focused on
collaboration and learning while supporting the continued growth and development of her clinical team.
Elizabeth is involved with residency education serving as a coordinator for the Duke Health Neurologic
Physical Therapy Residency program. She also supports the work of the outpatient neurologic rehabilitation
team seeking to improve patient access as well as excellence in clinical practice.
Elizabeth completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise & Sports Science at the University of North
Carolina at Greensboro. She graduated with her doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Elizabeth is a lifelong resident of Durham, NC where she currently resides.
