Bio:
La Tondra Murray is the Associate Director of Professional Masters Programs and an Adjunct Professor of the Practice for Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering. She manages the delivery of career, academic, and student services to 200+ Pratt graduate students and serves as the primary administrator for the distributed Master of Engineering Management program. La Tondra joined Duke as an Associate Director in 2009. A 13-year software development veteran, La Tondra previously held a number of technical leadership and management positions at IBM in Research Triangle Park.
La Tondra has a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with a focus in Human-Computer Interaction from North Carolina State University. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Spelman College and a B.EE. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. La Tondra is additionally a certified Personal and Executive Coach.
La Tondra was recognized as the 2013 receipient of the Pratt School's Capers and Marion McDonald Award for Excellence in Mentoring and Advising. She has authored or co-authored 8 technology papers in the areas of user interface design and engineering education.
