Bio:
Mr. Doty was recruited to Duke in August of 2010 and serves as the Department's chief administrative officer. In this role, he is responsible for the Department's administrative operations and services that support the Department's research, education and clinical care missions. Prior to joining Duke, Mr. Doty served as Department Administrator for the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University. Prior to his role at Northwestern, he held academic administration and financial management positions at Raytheon Corporation, Tulane University, the University of Memphis, and Landmark Communications. Mr. Doty currently serves as the President of the Administrators of Internal Medicine and is the editor of An Administrator's Guide to Departments of Internal Medicine. He received his master's degree in Accounting and Management Control from Old Dominion University and his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Drury University.
