Bio:
Hill was appointed to her position in Trinity College of Arts and Sciences in 2012. She has more than 20 years of experience in communications, science writing, and strategic planning. Since 2003, she has been the Director of Communications and Marketing at the PrattSchool of Engineering, where she was instrumental in raising the national visibility of engineering at Duke through publications and digital media. Her work has been recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. Prior to Duke, she worked in communications and science writing positions at the Department of Energy's Idaho National Laboratory for subsidiaries of Westinghouse and Lockheed Martin. She was also a contributing correspondent for Science Magazine's ScienceNOW online news section. She holds a B.A. degree in anthropology and is also a certified rock climbing instructor for the Boys Scouts of America.
