Bio:
Susan Kline joined the Duke team on July 28, 2014 to serve as chief administrator for the Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine. In this role, she is responsible for the administrative management and coordination of all business related functions for the department's clinical practice, education, and research missions, including finance, personnel, space and facilities planning, grant administration, quality/compliance, strategic and external planning, and development. Prior to joining Duke, Susan served as the department administrator for the Department of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine and also the administrator of the Mayo Clinic Children's Center and Mayo Eugenio Litta Children's Hospital at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She has held various other leadership/management roles at Mayo Clinic with prior experiences in the pharmaceutical industry as well.

Susan received her master's degree from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University and bachelor's degrees in Microbiology and Public Relations from Oklahoma State University. She enjoys cooking and being with her two boys and husband.
