Bio:
Bridget currently works as the Associate Director of Academic and Student Services and head instructor and course developer for the English Communications Program for Pratt Professional Master's Programs. In this capacity, Bridget manages the student services and ESL instruction teams. Bridget received her BA from NC State University where she studied sociology and her MA from Duke University where she focused on intercultural communication and completed a master's project that examined Chinese student acclimation in graduate school in the US. Bridget is the author of Jiao Shi to Classroom: Preparing for Success in the American Graduate School Classroom, a guidebook specifically for Chinese students preparing to come to the US for graduate school. Bridget received her English as a Second Language teaching certification from Duke University and has also received an Intercultural Foundations certification from the Intercultural Communications Institute. Bridget is certified to administer the Intercultural Effectiveness Scale as well as the Global Competencies Inventory through the Kozai Group.
