Bio:
Alice McKenzie is the Director of Administration and Operations for the Major Gifts Programs and Special Initiatives. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Major Gift Programs and Special Initiatives, Alice provides senior level management and coordination for the functions reporting to the AVP; researches, analyzes and prepares reports and summaries of progress in those functions. She works closely with the Regional Development Directors, both domestic and international, to assist with portfolio and regional strategies and supervises a team of 10 assistants. She just celebrated her 20th anniversary at Duke having joined University Development in 1994.
She was born in Auburn, Al, raised in Northern Virginia and moved to Durham in 1993 where her husband, Robert was born and raised. She received her B.S. in Business Management from Averett University. She and Robert have one son, Zachary E,19. When not a work she loves quilting, gardening and spending time with her three rescue dogs.
