Bio:
Linda is Assistant Dean for Academic Programs and Student Affairs at the Duke Sanford School of Public Policy. She is a Duke graduate and earned her master's degree in Human Development and Family Studies at University of NC-Greensboro. Her career has included work in both higher education and nonprofits. She returned to Duke in September 2014, after more than two decades in the nonprofit sector including serving as Executive Director of the Cape Fear Literacy Council in Wilmington, NC and of Berks Women in Crisis in Reading, Pennsylvania. Linda has 13+ years of service at Duke, including the office of the Vice Provost for Academic Policy and Planning, the Searle Center, and as executive assistant to the Dean of the Fuqua School of Business. She currently is Board Chair of the Women's Independence Scholarship Program (WISP), which awards scholarships to survivors of intimate partner abuse.
