Bio:
Dr. Li-Chen Chin is responsible for providing leadership for the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, programs and services for students, scholars, families and groups with diverse cultures, identities and perspectives. She acts as chief advocate for these groups, and plays a key role in efforts to encourage a global perspective on campus. In addition, she serves as a pre-major advisor for Trinity College and an Associated Faculty with Program in Education. Dr. Chin received her B.A. in music from National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei and her M.M. and Ph.D. in music education from the University of Oregon in Eugene. Prior to joining Duke in 2008, she worked in Bryn Mawr College, the University of Pennsylvania, Michigan State University, and the University of Oregon.
