Bio:
Aaron joined the Duke University Libraries in 2010. As Director of Communications, he is responsible for promoting the services, collections, and programs of one of the top private research library systems in the country. He works closely with library staff to ensure that the organization's image, brand, and key messages are appropriately communicated through a variety of print, digital, and social media. He also organizes and promotes library events and public programs, and he supports efforts to build philanthropic support for library and university priorities. Prior to coming to Duke, Aaron worked for the library system at Washington University in St. Louis. He holds a Bachelor's degree in English from Birmingham-Southern College and a Master's in Creative Writing from the University of Alabama. He lives in Chapel Hill with his wife and daughter and enjoys reading, travel, southern food, camping, old buildings, and anything related to history.
