Bio:
Ernie Rushing joined the School of Nursing in 2012 and is responsible for leading the School's admissions and recruitment efforts. In this capacity, his team manages all areas of recruitment including travel to national and regional recruitment events, all on-campus student visitations, and all special events related to admissions and recruitment.

Prior to coming to Duke, Ernie's career has included work in numerous colleges and universities across North Carolina in various roles within the recruitment and retention of students including Director of Social Media, Assistant Director of Admissions, Director of Admissions and Vice President of Enrollment. In addition to his work in admissions offices, Ernie has also been appointed to chair numerous regional and national committees related to admissions and enrollment. Ernie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, earned his MBA at Methodist University, and his PhD at Nova Southeastern University.
